Welcome to Civil Service Commission

The Civil Service Commission carries out its functions and ministerial responsibilities in strict compliance with the provisions of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Edo State Civil Service Commission Law, Public Service Rules, Schemes of Service, and other relevant Extant Circulars. It was established to uphold the principles of fairness and professionalism, the Edo State Civil Service Commission plays a pivotal role in shaping the governance and administration of the state. Our mandate encompasses the development and management of human resources to facilitate effective service delivery.

To be recognized as a model civil service commission, driving sustainable development and inclusive governance in Edo State. We envision a highly skilled and motivated workforce dedicated to advancing the socio-economic well-being of the state and its citizens.

Mission

Our mission is to build a responsive and dynamic civil service that caters to the needs of the people of Edo State. Through strategic recruitment, training, and capacity-building initiatives, we aim to foster a culture of integrity, innovation, and accountability within the civil service.

What We Do

As the regulatory body overseeing the civil service, we:

Conduct recruitment exercises and oversee appointments.

Administer promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions.

Develop and implement policies to improve the performance and welfare of civil servants.

Provide advisory services to government agencies on human resource management matters.

Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address emerging challenges and opportunities in the civil service sector.
